Ingredients

Dry

  • 2 cup All-purpose flour (The foundational infrastructure)
  • 1 Tbsp Baking powder (For scalable lift)
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbsp Vegan cane sugar

Other

  • 14 oz Full-fat coconut milk (Chilled overnight in 'cold storage', scoop out the solid cream for the 'clouds')
  • 2 Tbsp Powdered sugar (For the cloud cream)
  • 0.25 cup Maple syrup (Frontend Layer)
  • 0.25 cup Blueberry syrup (Backend Layer)
  • 0.25 cup Vegan chocolate syrup (Database Layer)

Wet

  • 2 cup Oat milk (The data stream)
  • 2 Tbsp Apple cider vinegar (To compile the vegan buttermilk)
  • 2 Tbsp Coconut oil (Melted)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

Method

  1. 1. Initialize the Environment: Whisk the oat milk and apple cider vinegar together in a bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes to 'compile' into vegan buttermilk.
  2. 2. Provision the Infrastructure: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and vegan sugar.
  3. 3. Integrate the Stack: Pour the wet buttermilk mixture, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined. Do not overmix—leave some lumps (they are features, not bugs).
  4. 4. Deploy the Nodes: Heat a lightly oiled griddle or non-stick pan over medium heat. Pour 1/4 cup of batter per pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and edges look dry (about 2-3 minutes), then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  5. 5. Build the Cloud UI: While pancakes cook, take the chilled solid coconut cream from your can (discarding the clear liquid). Whip it with a hand mixer and powdered sugar until it forms fluffy, airy 'clouds'.
  6. 6. Execute the PRD: Stack the pancakes high. Top with generous dollops of the coconut whipped cream clouds. Finally, deploy your architecture by drizzling the maple syrup (Frontend), blueberry syrup (Backend), and chocolate syrup (Database) in distinct layers over the top.

Chef's notes

Ensure your coconut milk is full-fat and chilled overnight so the cream separates properly for whipping. For a lighter deployment, use only one syrup layer.
