Ingredients
Dry
- 1 Tbsp Mushroom coffee powder
- 1 Tbsp Cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- 1 Tbsp Chia seeds
Other
- 1 qty Frozen banana (peeled and sliced before freezing)
- 0.5 cup Ice cubes
Wet
- 1 cup Unsweetened almond milk
- 1 Tbsp Peanut butter (creamy, unsalted)
- 1 Tbsp Maple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)
Method
- 1. Pour the almond milk into the blender first to prevent the dry ingredients from sticking to the bottom.
- 2. Add the frozen banana, peanut butter, maple syrup, mushroom coffee powder, cocoa powder, and chia seeds.
- 3. Add the ice cubes to give the smoothie a thicker, colder texture.
- 4. Blend on high for 45 to 60 seconds until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
- 5. Pour into a tall glass and serve immediately. Optionally, garnish with a light dusting of cocoa powder.
Chef's notes
You can easily substitute almond milk with oat, soy, or cashew milk. If you don't have a frozen banana, use a fresh one and double the amount of ice.
